Just incase any of my 3 readers (I am counting myself twice as I have two RSS readers :) ) noticed my posts have all but dried up over the past 6-8 weeks.  This bit of a drought was brought on by the selling of our house in Chicago land and packing for our cross (ok, most cross-country) country move down to the Raleigh area.  My family has been trying to get down to Raleigh for the past 18 months, but for multiple reasons we were not able able to get there till now.

We decided to move down for multiple reasons, but mainly because that is where my job is.  Another large reason is weather. I am not from the mid-west (grew up in the deep south) and the 6 months of cold/winter was really starting to drag on me and we really wanted to move to a warmer climate.

Anyway, I am after the dust settles on our move-in I plan to get back to posting full steam ahead.

BTW, just in case anyone has ever wanted to give this a try.  Moving cross country with 2 kids < 4 and 2 dogs and 2 cars is a boat load of fun :).  Actually, all things equal I think we made great time, just around 17 hours of driving for what should take about 13 hours.
