Castle Windsor 3.0 is released

Castle Windsor

After successful beta and RC releases final version of Castle Windsor (as well as Castle Core, and a whole set of facilities) has now been released. There are no major changes between final version and RC. The difference is some minor bug fixes, improved exception messages and some small improvements all over the place.

The packages are available now, on Nuget (with symbols), and via standard .zip download.

Last but not least - thank you to everyone who downloaded beta and release candidate and provided feedback. You guys rock.

Great job guys, thanks for the new version.

Seeing how Silverlight 5 was released just a couple of days ago, would you mind updating the package with a sl5 version of Castle Windsor 3.0?

TIA,

DrJ

I think the sl4 version will work with sl5 just fine

Hi,

My application that currently use Windsor 2.5.2 broke  with Windsor 3.0,

I use WindsorControllerActivator as posted here stackoverflow.com/.../castle-windsor-dependency-resolver-for-mvc-3, and following LOC is compiler error:

return (IController)container.GetService(controllerType);

My application is ASP.NET MVC 4 and there was no reference change, I just replaced old assemblies with new ones.

Just checked out BreakingChanges.txt file and replace that LOC with:

WindsorServiceProvider sp = new WindsorServiceProvider(container);

return (IController)sp.GetService(controllerType);

Is it correct?

Don't know why sp.GetService(controllerType) always returns null. That simple container.Resolve(controllerType) works.
