I've got a number of comments and emails from people who have not been able to locate my article on DotNetSlackers. Their site is not the best example of UI design I have ever seen and has caused problems with people who want to view or vote for the article :(
If you would like to read the article go here.
If you would like to vote for the article, you will need to create an account and then go here. Click "Vote Now" (in small font at the very bottom), check off my article and click submit.
I wrote this article and built the sample very quickly, so I admit that it is not as high quality as I would like. However, I will be talking a lot more about this subject here on my blog, especially the UI framework which has evolved considerably since I wrote the article.
My company is currently working on an enterprise scale WPF distributed app for a major state entity. We hope to take many of our lessons learned and detail them here. I believe this will also allow the UI framework to grow naturally to meet real world needs and I hope that the greater WPF community can benefit from it.
