The Silverlight is the great tool to do presentation layer for web applications. Things like diagrams, charts, schemas etc. I will stop myself here. There is a lot sources about where the Silverlight can be used so I will leave that to your imagination. I would like to show a short sample how to create simple graph. It's actually part of something bigger I'm working on right now.
Anyway, just for clarification how difficult is that. I've touch WPF first time in my life on Monday. My very first Silverlight project in VS2008 has been created yesterday. Everything you can see there is still playground. I've spent about 5 hours today working on the code presented below. So as you can see it's very, very easy. Whole source code is attached to the post with some comments inside. Please note that many parameters are set as constant at the moment. This code is a snapshot only and can't be considered as a working control.
Unfortunately I've lost access to the server where demo and sources were uploaded. I will try to find them for I still hope I have it somewhere on backup disks. However, please let me know if anyone downloaded and still have it.
